Siddharth Shukla: Indian TV actor dies at 40

Popular Indian TV and film actor Siddharth Shukla has passed away in Mumbai at the age of 40.

A doctor at Cooper Hospital told the BBC that he had died when he was brought in on Thursday.

He said the cause of his death was unclear, but the Indian press reported that he had died of a heart attack.

Shukla's colleagues from the TV and film industries have paid tribute and also expressed grief that he passed away at such a young age.

Shukla acted in many hit TV shows and also acted in Bollywood movies.

She made her TV debut in 2008 with Babul Ka Aangan Chhote Na and went on to act in many more shows.

In 2014, she made her Bollywood debut with Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. The film was a success and brought the actor even more fame.

Her popularity increased in 2019 after she won the 13th edition of the popular reality TV show Bigg Boss based on the American show Big Brother.

He won another reality TV show Khatron Ke Khiladi – based on the American series Fear Factor – and later hosted his own shows like Savdhaan India and India's Got Talent.
